Occupational Therapists

Alyce graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2011. Since then she has worked across a variety of private paediatric services in both Newcastle and the Central Coast. Alyce is passionate about working with children and families to achieve their goals.

Being a Mum to two young children has allowed her therapy style to develop to encompass the reality of family life. She believes in providing practical strategies to support children in their home and school environment to develop their skills and reach their goals.

Alyce established Sensational Start OT to provide the community with access to a holistic and family centred service. She has completed a variety of professional development trainings and now provides workshops and supervision to paediatric occupational therapists across Australia.

Alyce is no longer seeing therapy clients, and is focussing on building the skills of her team and therapists around Australia.

Ali graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2018. Ali worked as a therapy assistant at Sensational Start before transitioning to her role as an OT at the end of 2018.

Ali is a passionate OT who has a genuine love for working with children. Ali loves supporting parents to delight in their child and see how brilliant their child really is. Ali’s beautiful approach with our children is a joy to watch and we are lucky to be able to share this with our families.

Ali is a wonderful role model for our team. She believes in supporting our family’s, by walking alongside the family, providing guidance, advocacy and education throughout their therapy journey.

Ali is our Senior OT overseeing our therapy program and providing supervision, guidance and support to our therapy team. Ali provides therapy from Belmont, Boolaroo and Tuggerah clinics.

Britt graduated from Newcastle University in 2020. We were lucky enough to host Britt as a student, before bringing her in to a therapy assistant role with Sensational Start. Britt has always had a passion for working with children, this passion only grew stronger as she completed a variety of clinical placements in paediatrics.

Britt is a wonderful therapist and a beautiful support to all of her families. Britt enjoys supporting children to reach their goals through engaging therapy activities that align with their interests.

Britt is the coordinator of our therapy assistant program. She oversees the program, matches therapy assistants to clients and provides supervision and guidance to our therapy assistants.
Britt provides therapy from the Belmont and Tuggerah clinics.

Jacqui graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2021. We have been lucky enough to have Jacqui as a therapy assistant on our team since 2020.

Jacqui joined our team as an OT in 2022. She brings her experience as a personal trainer, her passion for fitness and all things well-being.

Jacqui is passionate about supporting children to thrive in their school setting and is currently developing and coordination a variety of primary school based programmes.

Jacqui is a beautiful therapist who loves to work with our school and age and young adult clients.  Jacqui works across our Belmont and Boolaroo clinics, as well as providing a mobile service to her clients in their school/home settings.

India graduated the University of Newcastle in 2021. India has been working with Sensational Start for the past couple of years as a therapy assistant.

India is a fantastic and committed therapist. Who works hard to ensure she is providing support to her clients and families. India relates so well to her older school age and teenager caseload and provides a wonderful goal focussed service within this space.

India works across our Belmont, Boolaroo and Tuggerah clinics.

 Bonnie finished her occupational therapy degree in 2023 at the University of Newcastle. Bon has been working with us as a therapy assistant throughout her degree. 

Bonnie is passionate about helping kids and their families reach their goals! She has a natural ability to engage with the kids she works with and is a beautiful addition to our therapy assistant program. 

You’ll see Bonnie working from our Tuggerah clinic. 

Rebecca finished her occupational therapy degree in 2023 at the University of Newcastle. Bec has been working with us as a therapy assistant throughout her degree.

Rebecca is a beautiful and bubbly therapist, who loves to work with children to assist them to develop their skills and achieve their goals. 

Rebecca works from our Tuggerah clinic. 

Morgan is in her 4th Year of Occupational Therapy at the University of Newcastle. 

Morgan is passionate in supporting children and helping them achieve their goals. She loves to work with clients of different age groups and finds joy in building therapeutic relationships with them and their families. 

During her free time, Morgan enjoys Pilates and playing sports. 

Morgan supports our clients across preschool, school, and home environments.

Katrina is currently in her 4th year of Occupational Therapy with the University of Newcastle. Prior to her studies, Katrina had a 12 year career as a teacher’s aide!  

Katrina loves supporting kids and families to achieve what is important to them and having lots of fun in the process!

She is passionate about being creative, and matching therapy to the interests of her clients. She is always encouraging others and finding ways to connect with children and families.

Katrina works across all of our clinics, providing OTA support in school and home settings.

Kylee is our wonderful Administrative Assistant who will be your first point of call for all communication with Sensational Start. Kylee is a wealth of knowledge and a fantastic support for our clients and their families.

Kylee is based at our Belmont clinic and ready to greet you with a smiling face when you enter reception.

Kylee is dedicated to supporting our team and families, working hard each day to ensure that things are running smoothly!

Larissa is a 3rd year OT student who joined our team in 2022. Larissa currently provides admin support to the team and Alyce’s OT Coach service. 

Larissa is excited to start offering some therapy assistant support throughout this year.
